Seriously! All my friends are like "Yeah The Beatles suck!" , and when I tell them that the chezzy bands they like suck, there all like "NO THEY DON"T". I think bands like Lady Ga Ga, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, stupid bands like that suck! The Beatles are so much better! In my opion, I think that The Beatles are the best band in the world, and compared to The Beatles, every other band sucks! I only have like 1 friends thats likes old music, but its not The Beatles, its Billy Idol, and thats not even in the 60′s but its still old! I think people who like bands like Lady Ga Ga, are really missing out on the good stuff that The Beatles made! Infact, I hate this generation of music we have today! If I could, I would go back in time to listen to the BETTER music.

The Beatels are the originals and they paved the way for all different types of Rock & Roll. I don’t hate all of todays music. But some of it is just ridiculous (Justin Bieber). Most of the younger stars idolize the originals like the Beatels but the fans don’t understand.

Alright it is called a fad. A fad is where people jump onto a bandwagon of generic and crappy music just because everyone else listens to it. This has happened to multiple music genres.
For example:
Hip hop was once cool and meaningful, with lyrics which put out important messages. And now people don’t even listen to the lyrics but just listen to the same beat used in every single song because it became a fad.
Any band or group like by tweens is superficial. Take Justin Bieber, the Jonas Brothers, or Miley Cyrus. Bieber’s is awful, the Jonas Brothers couldn’t play an instrument to save their lives, and Miley Cyrus couldn’t hit a tune with a baseball bat if it was on a tee. But, 12 year old girls think that the Jonas Brothers are hot, 11 year old boys want to be like Bieber since everyone likes him, and Miley Cyrus has a tv show. Nothing to do with the music.
Lady GaGa and Katy Perry are only liked because they push the limits. They do something riske and everyone thinks they are some sort of rebel, or more liberal, cool person for listening to them…it is just another fad.
Edit: To the person who said the beatles don’t have good voice talent obviously doesn’t know music very well.

If they like Gaga and Katy Perry; that’s fine. They have their own opinions; it’s their right to them. But I do agree that the Beatles are so much more talented than Gaga and Katy combined. I really honestly wish that rap was never invented. All they do is talk with a beat behind it. If I tap my hand on my desk and have a conversation with my sister, I could probably make a #1 hit.
Back in the 60′s, it was much harder to get #1 hits. People looked for the quality in music back then. That’s why I love the Beatles so much. Not only did they have incredible talent, but they also wrote their own songs originally! I heard one of my sisters rap songs, and they used the EXACT same guitar riff as "Crazy Train". Really? Be original and create YOUR OWN music!
I think you need to have a talk with your friends. Most bands today don’t write their own songs. They have a talented person do it for them and then the song writer gets no credit at all.
The Beatles are seriously as good as it gets. Nothing will ever compare to them ever, so your friends have no right to say that they suck. My friends are the exact same way and I hate it too.
