Jonas Brothers
Please avoid words/phrases such as ‘none’ ‘are you mad’ and you ‘you must be kidding’

The only similarity is that they both made music… the Jonas brothers shouldnt even be in the same sentence as the Beatles …. they havent earned it.

BOTH wear makeup and look gay
BOTH make crappy sappy love shit songs–only for the jonas brothers disney writes them.

Music wise I don’t see any similarities, as in being popular right from the start they both have done that, both had more young girls in their flock when they started, The Beatles evolved into a great band [at this is coming from a Stones fan], the Jonas Brothers have not reached that stare yet as far as the music goes, I’d have to give it to the Beatles. For who likes what, is all up to ones self, never listen to others that put music down. As I always say each to his own.
This was actually one of the better question’s i’ve heard abut the Jonas Brothers. But to be honest they have not done nothing not even something close that catches my eyes. And I don’t say that blindly, as I did buy one of their cd’s when I first came on to R&P to see what they were all about. And the truth I only listen to it once. Again just not my kind of music, just a little to clean for me.
    take care

That they were both very much marketed towards young girls… I really see a lot of similarities between the Jonas TV show and the Monkeys’ show. Seems like the producers may have used the Monkeys as a template for the Jonas show. A lot of folks bust on these guys but seriously it is hard to make it in show business. I mean we’d all love to have a Hendrix or Clapton type status but if any of you got offered a butt load of money and fame you’d take it in a second. I know what it’s like to try to claw your way to the top of the music industry. By the way Mr. Costner, I saw you on the golf course a while back and you didn’t even say hello…very rude.

the similarities are the fact they’re both young, sold a lot of albums and concert tickets, and had lots of girls screaming at them and that’s where the similarities end.

you know it was no different when the beatles first came out because they were compared to elvis, but the beatles very quickly showed why they earned those comparisons, whereas the jonas brothers have not earned that right.

also the beatles actually made an impact outside of records and ticket sales, again the jonas brothers have not.

now i know some of you JB fans will say:"the jonas’s have sold millions of albums,a lot of merchandise, and millions of dollars in concert tickets.",i do concede that point, however that doesn’t make you a rock artist, nor does that automatically earn the right to be mentioned in the same breath as legends like the beatles, all that means is that you are very popular and nothing more.popularity doesn’t last forever.if you want to make your mark then you have to make an impact outside of album, ticket, and merchandise sales.

also another difference is that the beatles didn’t have their fame bought and paid for by a major corporation.

now another similarity is that some say that the jonas’s songs are marketed with a teenage audience in mind, heck so were the beatles early songs,in fact paul mccartney admitted as much himself in the beatles anthology when he said that the early stuff was geared directly towards the fans, but by the time of rubber soul and even before, the beatles were starting to get away from the teeny bopper stuff and were writing songs with deeper lyrics and also geared more towards the concerns and plights of their age group(early to mid 20’s)whereas the jonas’s are still writing songs with the teeny boppers in mind.

i could go on,but i hope i proved my point
