Wings had some good tunes. Band on the Run is a good tune. I liked the Christmas song, Simply Having.

He will always be amazing. He still sang his songs just with different musicians. The Beatles will always be my favorite but I don’t mind listening to just him either.

I agree with the others. Genius doesn’t stop just because the environment changes.

I thought his music was a hit and miss once he went off on his own and with the Wings, I thought he had a few clunkers with songs like "Ebony & Ivory" (w/Stevie Wonder), "Let Em In", "Goodnight Tonight", "Spies Like Us", "We All Stand Together", "Hi Hi Hi" & "Wonderful Christmas Time"

I really like that scene where John and Ringo are in the elevator and Ringo turns to John and says "What first attracted you to me?" and John replies "Well, you’re very polite, aren’t you."

And that’s what I like best about Paul McCartney’s music after The Beatles broke up!

He was good when he was with the Wings, not so good afterwards, I’ve never liked "Ebony and Ivory" and the songs he did with Michael Jackson were crap, I can see why they didn’t work well together.

Not so hot. A few good songs, yes, but remember that he also put out crap like "The Doggone Girl Is Mine", "Ebony and Ivory", and "Spies Like Us". Only one decent album: Band on the Run. Not so good.

Some of it is very good. I think there will be a re-discovery of his solo material someday, and people will wonder why they hadn’t heard this great material before.
