I started collecting Beatles records at age 11. I have been trying to upload all my Beatles tracks onto my iPod and it has been a chore. I am pretty sure I have all the same tracks on CD as I had on vinyl, but you never know. I have all of the Beatles records, on vinyl and CD, all the movies on VHS or DVD. I even have a few of the Beatles cartoons on VHS tapes.
Have you ever had a Beatles party? I was thinking it might motivate me to put all my Beatles songs and audio visual materials together. I might have a party over the summer, maybe a cookout, and set up the stereo for the party and play the songs. I don’t think playing one of the movies would work for a party but maybe some of the short clips might work. I could run a montage of some of the Beatles music videos.
Are you as obsessed with the Beatles as I am? I can remember a friend of mine once had a Beatles party in his basement that resembled Pete Best’s Jacaranda Club with all this art deco decor in the basement and he played Beatles music at the party. Years ago.
If not as, more.
My collection is pretty huge, and I started about 3 years ago. I’ve got about 30 vinyl record, 20 posters, 25 t-shirts, shoelaces, socks, jewelry, 10 books, a John Lennon action figure, a tin lunchbox, 15 postcards, 30 buttons, a clock, about 8 videos (VHS) and 3 DVD’s, I have all of the albums and then some on my iPod, Beatles Monopoly, Rock Band, AND Trivial Pursuit, 5 original Beatles stamps from 1964, and a lot more…
But anyway, I haven’t had a Beatles party, only because I don’t really have a lot of friends that are obsessed like me… I guess that’s what happens when you’re born in the wrong decade. I should’ve been a 50s baby.
THE BEATLES ARE FOR OLD PEOPLE!!!

No even though I have all their music on vinyl that I’ve had since they first come out, but never been a big fan of theirs as a group, John is my all time favorite right up there with George.
take care

i like them just like any other band. i think they’re overrated though. there are many great bands in the world even nowadays, making music that makes me feel as good and even better than Beatles music

I Love the Beatles! I am just as obsessed with them as you are! I am currently in the process of buying all their vinyl records! I have 5 of their records so far and a few of the Beatles 45s. I also have all their Beatles movies! (My favorite is Let It Be!) And Have all their CDs. A whole bunch of their posters, and I am even going to go see Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr perform this summer! I am so excited for the concerts!

I guess I’m not. I also bought my first Beatles single at age 11, in 1965, and I do have all the albums on CD. I didn’t have them all on vinyl, as I wasn’t fond of the early Beatles back then. I have Hard Day’s Night on DVD, but Help was a pretty bad movie, and Yellow Submarine was awful. I saw them in the theater back in the 60s and have no desire to own them. I rented the Magical Mystery Tour DVD and that’s beyond awful. Great songs, but I can’t imagine how high you’d have to be to make that movie and think it was worth releasing. I did drive 5 hours to see McCartney last summer.
I love the Beatles. I even loved Across the Universe. But you win!
