How much do Beatles albums cost?
January 27th, 2011I’ve started a small collection of records lately and was wondering how much I should pay for stuff from The Beatles, I’m particularly interested in the Help! and A Hard Day’s Night albums. Thanks.
Just to be clear I mean for the LP’s I’m not looking for a CD.
It depends on condition, whether it’s an original or reprint, and the rarity of the album. Look on ebay, I’ve gotten Beatles ones on there is very good shape for $5 + shipping cost. I got Let It Be and A Hard Day’s Night both for under $10 on ebay, just know when to bid on them.
Why are Beatles albums so hard to find on vinyl?
January 10th, 2011I love the beatles and thinking that beatles were from ’62-’70 the albums would be widely distributed and cheap to find on LP. It turns out they are around $30 used! These were hit albums why are they so much?
Well…On march 4th, 1966 and interview with john lennon was released in the London Evening Standard, in which he said,
"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn’t argue with that; I’m right and I will be proved right. We’re more popular than Jesus now; I don’t know which will go first – rock ‘n’ roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It’s them twisting it that ruins it for me."
eventually, this was used as a cover story for an american teen magazine and people were FURIOUS. There were bonfires of beatles records, posters, anything beatles. so, and i don’t know any percents or statistics of this but that is one of the main causes. i think however a video will best describe this incident:

The other reason i think is because they were HUGELY FAMOUS and very talented musicians so people don’t want to sell their beatles records to just anyone for any price. But seriously, check out the video.

What is the best documentary about the Beatles?
November 11th, 2010The only documentaries that I’ve heard of are The Compleat Beatles and The Beatles Anthology. Which one of those is better? Is there any others that are better than those?
Those are the two best ones out there. If you were to own one, it definitely should be the Anthology, in my opinion. It’s very well done and there’s just so much more footage (rare clips, live performances, interviews, etc.), plus it’s narrated by the Beatles themselves. Don’t expect it to be especially revealing on the Beatles’ personal lives, but it does give lots of in depth information on the band’s history (especially the early years), and it really is the definitive Beatles documentary.
… However, the Compleat Beatles has some unique footage and interesting information that is not in the Anthology, and it’s very well-narrated and artistically done (if a bit dated). If you don’t want to sit through the entire 8-part anthology, I would recommend this one; it’s wonderfully complete and compact as it is. Unfortunately it’s only on VHS, though.
The Anthology is the best choice.

Sure i don’t see any reason why not but i’d avoid some John Lennon solo stuff like Plastic Ono Band which could be offensive listen to songs like "God" "I Found Out" "Working Class Hero" and you’ll see what i mean.
What band has a lot of truly good catchy songs?
October 8th, 2010I’m just looking for a new band to listen to. My favorites are Green Day, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Aerosmith because I like a ton of songs from each of them. I’ve listened to a lot of other bands too but ended up not liking them because they only have a few good songs. Does anyone know of any other bands that actually have a ton of great songs?? Thanks.
i like every song by Iron Maiden. I mean every single f_cking song, no kidding. All 140 + of them.
Another awesome band would be the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. A good album to begin with is "Jailbreak". Their best and most famous songs are there.
How much is a vintage blue and white polka dot Beatles dress worth?
October 7th, 2010I am curious to know if anyone knows how much a vintage blue and white polka dot Beatles dress is worth. The dress was made by a Dutch company back in the 60′s.
