Beatles lyrics- where to find who sings which song?
Wednesday, January 13th, 2010Beatles Lyrics question?
Sunday, January 10th, 2010For the song "If I fell" by the Beatles, I just checked out the lyrics. So I read them and I was wondering why the (male) singer keeps reffering to a "her". I thought about that and I guess the "she" is his old girlfriend, and not the girlfriend of the woman he fell in love with which is what was my first thought.
Was I right the first or second time?
I thought ‘her’ was an old GF, but not positive,….!!
What do you think the Beatles lyrics "For tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun" mean?

”Gotta be rock and roll music, if you wanna dance with me”
”Well you may be a lover but you aint no dancer”
” Doesn’t have a point of view, knows not where he’s going to. Isn’t he a bit like you and me?”
” Take these broken wings and learn to fly”
”Tomorrow may rain so, i’ll follow the sun”
” The newspapers said- she’s gone to his head, they looked just like two gurus in drag”
”They’ve been going in and out of style, but they’re guaranteed to raise a smile.”
”I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, i am the Walrus- goo goo ga joob”
” Well you know that it’s a fool who plays it cool, by making his world a little colder.”
” You say you want a revolution, well you know we all wana change the world.”
”The magical mystery tour is waiting to take you away!”
”If the sun don’t come we’ll get a tan from standing in the English rain.”
”He likes to keep his fire engine clean, it’s a gleam machine.”
” Let me take you down cause i’m going to strawberry fields, nothing is real.”
”Living is easy with eyes closed- miss understanding all you see.”
” Beep beep, beep beep YEAH”
” Try to see it my way, do i have to keep on talking till i can’t go on?”
” All the lonley people, were do they all come from?”

Ideas for a Beatles lyric tattoo with 10 words or less?
Saturday, December 26th, 2009I really want a beatles tattoo, but i need some help finding some really nice lyrics. John is my favourite Beatle, so preferably i’d like the lyrics to be his. suggestions please!
Nothing’s gonna change my world
All you need is love
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
Some kind of happiness is measure out in miles
You can talk to me
Take it easy
Strawberry fields… Nothing is real
From his solo years:
All we are saying is give peace a chance
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine all the people living life in peace
Imagine all the people sharing all the world
Power to the people
War is over if you want it
War is over now
(you could ALMOST combine those last two, but that takes you up to 11…)
On a slightly more silly note:
Except for me and my monkey
(That one, maybe you could even have a small picture of a monkey beneath it…)
This-ism, that-ism, ism ism
I am the walrus
That’s all I can come up with off the top of my head…
What is the title of the Beatles song that ends with the lyrics "Ayla Ayla Oh Ah" or something like that?
Friday, December 18th, 2009Too many Beatles songs to search and too many sites with annoying strings attached for "free searches". Your help is appreciated, I need to get this song unstuck from my head!
Actually, Its "Hello, Goodbye". Here’s the lyrics!
You say yes, I say no
You say stop and I say go, go, go
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello
I say high, you say low
You say why, and I say I don’t know
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Why, why, why, why, why, why
Do you say good bye
Goodbye, bye, bye, bye, bye
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye
I say hello
hello, hello
I don’t know why you say goodbye I say hello
Hello
Hela, hela helloa
Hela, hela helloa
In the song ‘Blackbird’ by the Beatles, what do the lyrics mean?
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009I love the song but would love to know what its getting at. What do you think?
McCartney always said that the lyrics weren’t intended to have any particular meaning, that they were euphonic… meaning they were employed purely for their sound rather than their meaning!
But, as Paul Simon says… if people take their own meaning from a song?… Isn’t that what art is supposed to be about?
What are your favourite Beatles lyrics?
Saturday, December 12th, 2009What are your favourite Beatles lyrics?
LYRICS.
Not songs.
Ex. "Semolina Pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hare Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allan Poe."
But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning ’round.
