Inspirational Lyrics? (preferably Beatles)?

Everyone in my class has been asked to start up some sort of project, to improve life around the area we live in. What I’ve decided to do, is mildly inspired by the Free Hugs campaign… Seeing as Juan Mann said that his idea was to put a smile on someone’s face, that what my idea is pretty much too. But I’m not brave enough to go out there and hug people, so I’ve though of something that just might make people smile, and they won’t even have to know it’s me. I’ve decided to write a new message on the sidewalk each day. This is going to cost me a fortune in chalk, but I think its worth it. Thing is, I need to find some happy/feel good/inspirational lyrics, and I’d prefer them to be Beatles, because 1. I adore the Beatles 2. Most people in my area will recognize Beatles lyrics…

I’ve already used the phrases "All you need is love" and "Nothing’s gonna change my world."

So, if you could suggest some of your favorite lyrics, or a short message that inspires you, etc, that kind of thing, I’d really appreciate it!

Honestly, and I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but on of my favorite lines is from the beginning of "I Am The Walrus"

"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together"

I know that it was made up from two different acid trips, but I think it has a lot of good meaning…I really do feel that way about life and although I know The Beatles weren’t huge on Christianity, I interpret it as "he" being He, as in God, meaning God is in me and everyone else and all of us are the same, brothers and sisters, all here for the same reason.

This next one’s kind of different, but I just love it. It’s from "Hey Jude" and Paul says, "the movement you need is on your shoulder." I just think that’s beautiful. You should Wikipedia lots of their songs and sometimes they give the meanings of certain lyrics on there. Anyways, good luck and I hope this helps! :)

I’ll probably keep editing stuff in as I get the chance…I’d like to add that the songs "Here Comes The Sun" and "Because" both from the Abbey Road album have a lot of beautiful lines and are very inspirational.

best beatles lyrics? I know it’s hard?

I want to get a verse or just a lyric of a Beatles song for a tattoo, I think the Beatles represents my family as a whole. I’m named after the Beatles(the name is Abby Laine, spelt to my mom’s preference) my bed time song as a kid was yellow submarine so something from the song would be nice
But for my tattoo i would like to get like just a few words from a lyric or a whole verse but i would like it to be less than 5 lines

this would be a big help if you could give me a few ideas, and i don’t just want let it be, or love me tender, love me sweet. I would like more of their meaningful lyrics

thanks!

"All you need is love" – need I say more?

How did beatles song lyrics influence?

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010 and filed under beatles lyrics | 3 Comments »

sorrie bout so meny beatles questions but i need help for my research paper (:
i already said in my paper how they wrote their own lyrics n talked bout da stuff goin on in da world but i need moree stuff!

Here’s my paper on the Beatles. Hope in comes in use. I also forgot to include that they were the first to use feedback, and Ringo was the first drummer to use the match grip.

What do you love most about Rock and Roll? The head-banging, the rebellious spirit, and the guitar solos? Yet, it all had to start somewhere and that is with the one rock group that changed the world: The Beatles. The Beatles (consisting of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) are the most inspirational and greatest rock group in the history of music. They produced over twenty albums that still inspire bands today.
The Beatles were the first group to have a rebellious attitude. For example, they always answered press in a sarcastic and carefree manner. During an interview, someone asked the group after their first recording session if there was anything they didn’t like. George Harrison replied, "Well, your tie for a start…" Another trend they started for future rockers, was growing long hair. It was considered defiant to have unkempt hair, and long beards. They were also the first group to openly state that they had taken drugs. Paul McCartney was asked in an interview if he had taken LSD. He admitted that he’d taken it four times. Every member of the Beatles took drugs and openly admitted it. This was the first time that drugs and rock and roll went hand in hand. The last example of rebellious acts of the Beatles was their show on top of their recording studio in London. They blared their music across London from their rooftop without a permit and the police interrupted the show after a few songs.
Not only were their appearances and attitudes revolutionary to rock, but their music and lyrics too. Guitar and drum solos were very unpopular during the Beatles time. No music group before the Beatles included guitar/drum solos in almost every one of their songs. They were also the first to scream in their songs, and made harmonizing in the majority of their songs extremely popular. These techniques paved the way for future bands in forming their songs.
Many believe that other bands after The Beatles were the true role models for future rock groups, such as Led Zeppelin or The Who. However, I argue that point with the fact that these bands were directly influenced by The Beatles themselves. Both of these band’s images were young adults playing in a group that took drugs, had rebellious attitudes, and had complicated guitar and drum solos in almost every song. However inspirational both of these bands may have been, they were just following The Beatles example.
The Beatles didn’t just have one style of music, but created songs with many different genres. From rock-pop, to funk, and even to the earliest metal! This would influence later bands to have a wide variety of sounds. Their lyrics and overall message changed with time also. As an early band, most of their songs were about love and relationships. As the years passed on, their lyrics included messages for their audience’s time. As America went to war, The Beatles wrote lyrics that spoke of peace and love, using lines such as, "All you need is love." Future rock groups would use the same techniques. For example, The Who wrote songs about their generation, such as "My Generation."
The Beatles didn’t only influence a few rock groups after themselves, but started a cause that would affect hundreds of bands, making present day bands their posterity. They gave bands techniques such as screaming, harmonizing, effective song writing, and extensive guitar and drum solos. They were the role models of the first group to "stick it to the man", by being sarcastic, taking drugs, and growing their hair out. What you and I love about rock today, was started by one rock group more than forty years ago. The Beatles will be the instigators of rock for the bands of yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

what are the best beatles lyrics?!?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under beatles lyrics | 10 Comments »

what lyrics are your favorites?

no bias answers- the beatles are amazing, you dont have to agree which means you dont have to acknowledge this question.

but anyways, which beatles lyrics do you think are the best? i know, its hard to choose!

You are so right – it is hard to choose…these are just some of my favourite lyrics from a few Beatles songs…thanks for a great question!

**And I Love Her**
Bright are the stars that shine,
Dark is the sky,
I know this love is mine,
Will never die,
And I love her.

**In My Life**
Though I know I’ll never lose affection.
For people and things that went before,
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

**While My Guitar Gently Weeps**
I look at the world and I notice it’s turning
While my guitar gently weeps.
With every mistake we must surely be learning,
Still my guitar gently weeps.

**Yesterday**
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it look as though they’re here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* * * The End * * *
Oh yeah alright, are you gonna be in my dreams tonight?
And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.
What are the best Beatles lyrics to draw a picture book to?
Posted by admin on February 17th, 2010 and filed under beatles lyrics | 11 Comments »
I have to do a project for art and I have to pick a song to draw four pictures to go along with the lyrics. I really want to do a beatles song but there are so many to choose from! I was thinking about doing I am the walrus because it describes some things that would be really fun to draw like sitting on a cornflake but some of the lyrics are a little inappropriate. does anybody have any good beatles songs that describe things to draw or tell a story?
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds DEFINITELY.
Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies.
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she’s gone.
That would be the coolest art project ever :)
