It was a website about The Beatles discography a few years back. I wonder if anyone knows what happened to it or has any information/connection to it. Anything would be helpful, thanks!!!

it was shut down, because there is whole dispute about who owns the beatle songs and blah blah blah. also ever since mj died its been worse. so the website was shut down by the creator but he didnt have a real reason as to why he shut if down.

If you were stranded indefinitely on a deserted island and you had a magical music player that only played ONE musical artist’s ENTIRE discography, who would you choose and why?

I’d probably pick the Beatles because their music varies from album to album and they have a LOT of songs to keep me occupied…

Any CD compilation of Beatles b-sides?

Looking over the Beatles discography, it looks as if there are many Beatles songs that were released as b-sides on the original 45’s but were never included on their full albums or on greatest hits compilations. Does anyone know of a good CD compilation of Beatles b-sides? Thank you.

Your best bet may be Past Masters Vol. 1 & 2. Those discs contain everything that wasn’t released on studio albums.

It’s gone. It was an incredibly useful Beatles site.

Looks like someone didn’t pay the domain-name fee. It’s still probably backed up somewhere, but as of now, it’s going to be closed.

iTunes track names shortcuts?

hey, i just downloaded the entire bob marley discography and imported it to iTunes, only to find there were no artist or album info attached to the tracks.

the tracks are sorted by album and track number when they’re in their respective folders in windows explorer, but once imported they only have track info, e.g. 01 – [track name].

now there’s 3gb of tracks and i do not have the time nor patience to individually name each track correctly and add in the respective albums, i know you can shift + click to group a bunch of tracks and type the album name in but that doesnt help.

iTunes cannot update the track names and stuff by itself as it’s not from a CD or the iTunes Store.

this is also applicable to a beatles discography i have which is unordered by track numbers and just doing the album and track names took an hour for that.

anyway TL;DR, what’s the easiest way to get iTunes (or another program) to give me all the info readily attached to each track so all the album, artist and track number stuff is right there??

Happened to me before, I just went through them and listened to them and typed in the name.

I mean, every single song they ever recorded. B-sides, songs that weren’t on albums, demos, everything. I’ve heard the entire discography of The Beatles, The Clash, The Smiths, The Fall, The Jam, Sex Pistols and Buzzcocks. And almost the entire discography of the rest of my favourite bands.

Where to download discographies?

I’m looking to download discographies for the bands I like? I’d just download all of the songs separately, but… well… that would take forever for bands like The Beatles.

Edit: I’d really rather just download a .zip or .rar (or anything like those, although I’d prefer those since I’ve already got the programs) that contains .mp3 files for all of the songs.

There are two easy ways of doing this.

If you’re willing to pay, the best thing to do is to buy a boxed set of the artist’s discography.

If you don’t want to spend a cent, go to your local library and put the artist’s discography on hold. When you acquire the CDs, insert the CD into your computer and rip the songs off the CD.

I, for example, I have dozens of bootlegs of the Beatles, containing much material without precedent in the band’s official discography. Have you ever tried to find out if there is available in the form of bootlegs, this type of material of your band?
