How much would an 8 gig Ipod nano loaded with all of the beatles original albums be worth?

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under beatles albums | 4 Comments »

I have also on the album put An album that I put together from the fly on the wall disk on there and the "semi legit" black album is on there, plus the anthologies and stuff. How much is this worth? By the way, it is in good shape.

Well, I’ve actually seen an advertisement for an iPod Classic (120 GB)with all of the Beatles albums go for about $600. So the Nano being about $150 and the Classic $250, that would make it worth about $500, give or take.

Which songs from The Beatles albums Past Masters I & II were unreleased on the studio albums?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under beatles albums | 5 Comments »

I’ve got their entire discography, I just want to know which tracks from Past Masters I & II weren’t in my library beforehand. Thanks!

None of them.

Past Masters is a two-volume compilation album set by The Beatles released in 1988 following the 1987 release of the band’s original UK studio albums on CD. Past Masters collects tracks that were not released on studio albums, so that the band’s entire catalogue could be available on CD. Past Masters contains every song commercially released by EMI from 1962 to 1970 that was not included on the 12 original UK Beatles albums or the Magical Mystery Tour LP. The majority of the album consists of the A- and B-sides of the band’s singles, including single versions of songs that appeared differently on albums. The full contents of the UK-only Long Tall Sally EP, two German language recordings, a song recorded for the American market and a track used on a charity compilation complete the collection.

How do I see all "The Beatles" albums and songs on iTunes?

Posted by admin on February 17th, 2010 and filed under beatles albums | 2 Comments »

I want to look at all The Beatles albums and songs on iTunes but every time I search an albumit comes up with a bunch of stupid cover bands and tributes

The Beatles’ label was by record company Apple Records in the ’60s. Then when Apple Computer came along in the ’70s, Apple Records started a legal battle, which continued for decades. Apple Records is gone now, but still the horrid greedy Apple Computer banned all their songs from iTunes. You can find The Beatles on Amazon MP3, which lets you play music on any device or program.

Typed on a Mac. Yet i’ve never downloaded any songs from iTunes

Why some Beatles albums were different in US?

Posted by admin on February 14th, 2010 and filed under beatles albums | 3 Comments »

Does anybody know why some Beatles albums were different in US? Revolver was the last altered album. They say the US format was 12 songs. Do you know any other reason?
Some albums had important changes. A hard day’s night and Help! have instrumental music.

That was because the standard release format in Britain was 14 songs per album while in the US, it was generally about 11. Because of that, Capitol Records would skim a few songs off each Beatles album. After a while, they had enough material to put out another album intended for US-only release. Albums like "Beatles ‘65", "Beatles IV" and "Something New" are all examples. It was a way to keep the fans satisfied until the group released another album. By the time "Yesterday & Today" was to come out, the group decided to take action. They posed for the infamous "Butcher Cover" where all the members wore white smocks and had doll parts and meat slices strewn around while the members themselves had leering smiles on their faces. That cover proved controversial and was quickly replaced with an inoffensive picture of the group sitting or standing around a steamer trunk. After "Revolver" (which was considerably shorter than its British counterpart) came out, all the albums had the same songs as those released in Britain.

Where could I go to find the value of original Beatles albums?

Posted by admin on February 9th, 2010 and filed under beatles albums | 1 Comment »

There are many "price guide" books with comprehensive listings of values for all The Beatles albums. But a more immediate gauge of the market value might be to see what certain Beatles albums are selling for on eBay. The price can fluctuate greatly, and it makes a difference what condition your albums are in and whether or not they are original first pressing from the 1960s.
