In The Era of "Beatlemania" where did fans get the disposible income to buy beatles merchandise and tickets?

I need this information for a presentation I am doing and I cannot find it online, anyone know??? Quick answers are greatly appreciated!
*many "beatlemaniacs" were teenage girls who were did not have jobs at the time.

From their parents, of course.

    I’m assuming they got it the same way fans of today get it. They have jobs and earn the money, or they have pocket money and save up for stuff.
    The Beatles were around in the 60′s. Not everyone was poor back then.
