Anything is possible, but I think it'll be hard to ever have that much of a following for a single band. The music industry is very different than when the Beatles first appeared.
Music executives and the recording industry used to get behind a band and push for them, whereas now they just look for the next "hot" band or singer. When that that band or singer falls in popularity, the just move on to the "next big thing".
References :
Clearly, the Jonas Brothers are on their way to doing that....

I joke. Actually, it would be tough. We want to act like new music is a revolutionary thing, when in reality, it's very evolutionary. It all traces back to Blues (and other) musicians from prior decades, back to guys like Leadbelly and folk artists.

The Beatles and Stones in part benefited from a convergence of technology and race. Here you had a time when the lines between white and black music were merged, creating something very new and exciting, and there were viable mediums to store (record) and market it.

It's hard to imagine someone taking what we have now and making it original on the level of the Beatles...given the shear number of people with recording studios (in their basement or at their computer) and how the evolution has given us such crazy hybrids....think of musicians like Beck, what is that? Bluegrass-calypso-country-hip-hop-rock? I don't know.

PS....the only 'revolutionary' music I'd point out is Jazz (IMO), but even that has origins in classical music arrangements, not counting the improvisational stuff.
References :
I'm not sure about this. There are a lot of bands that are rocking, but I heard that the Beatles were very good,so I don't know what to tell you. Maybe Black Eyes peas or maybe other bands but I don't know anything sure about this yet.
References :
Obviously. Music is always going to be around, so there's always room for improvement.
