My final vlog from my trip to Tokyo in February of 2009.
And it was a fitting end – I really enjoyed the museum.
They don’t allow photography inside tho, so no pics or video from inside the museum.
Basically – they present John’s life thru a series of dioramas which feature tons of John and Beatles memorabilia. Lots of info is printed on the walls as you stroll thru, but not all of it is translated into English.
It’s a very tasteful and moving tribute to the man – the way they build up to and present John’s death was particularly well done and very emotional. There is also a small gift shop and a lounge.
Well worth the trip IMO. And I made a slight error when I read the admission price in this vlog – it’s actually 1500yen for adults. (1300yen is the group rate)

After this, it was back to Tokyo to pick up my luggage, and then off to Haneda airport for the return trip to Izumo.
All in all I had a fantastic 4 days in Tokyo, and I hope I can go back soon.
Thanks for watching!

I, ofcourse, have grown up to the sound of the beatles as well so I’ve basically become a fan too. I love their music. I remember those times where we would go to the zoo or something and my mum would put up beatles songs in the car and sing along with them, eventually I learned to sing them too.

Yeah – I got a little choked up for a moment. It happened again in the museum itself.
John was no saint, but how interesting it would have been for him to still be around and making music and speaking out. He is missed.
