Honestly, I do not … Honestly, I do not like this version. I believe that the “Let it Be.. Naked” version is better. It sounds more natural. ^-^ But, I still love this song. :]
The 60s was the … The 60s was the start of a revolution in music and, no doubt about it, The Beatles were at the spearhead of it. They set a new standard and also a new challenge to those young up and coming bands behind them. I think the biggest legacy the Beatles left was that of flexibility; they could throw out a great ballad, basic rock and roll and then (on top of all this) they could still put out something amazingly different. Not many of todays artists are such all-rounders.
this is the last … this is the last song that they ever made. Its about their long journey through stardom. Basically, its a memoir of the era of the beatles.
Didn’t the Specter … Didn’t the Specter version also have choir?(I think they do but somehow in this version I can only discern a woman singing Concerto or something)
I accidentally came … I accidentally came across this song on my ipod about 3-4 days back and have not been able to put my ipod down since then just listening to this song. Its amazing, i just love the feeling and the mood this song gives.
i highly agree with … i highly agree with you on that. despite mainstream music being very generic nowadays i’m sure that this generation does have its artists who perhaps within the next 20 years or so will be considered classics and will maybe be remembered the same way one reminisces about the artists you’ve mentioned. if it wasn’t for my father constantly blasting classic 80′s, 70′s music when i was a child i don’t think i would know as much about them as i know today. thanks dad =)
you stole the words … you stole the words directly from my mouth. i couldnt agree more except that mainstream has the purpose of defining an era and leading the people who are clueless about music, and being clueless about music isnt bad because music is misleading. A catchy drumbeat with bumbling bassline with harmonizing chords and lyrics sang by a beautiful person or a violent mixture of screaming and thrash…thats the present era of music. i prefer searching the endless list of artists you speak of.
Both versions of … Both versions of this song are masterpieces. Paul’s solo version is exceptional and highlights the many extraordinary talents of Paul. While Phil Spector’s version provides a very out-of-character yet magically beautiful and deeply moving blend of orchestral brilliance. I am as deeply affected and emotionally moved hearing this song today as I was almost 40 years ago. Not many songs can do that. JMR
and for anyone who … and for anyone who feels that the beatles are not genius is a god dame idiot. no one whats to hear your ideas of the bealtes because it is inferior and ignorant.
susie6299 i agree … susie6299 i agree with you to an extent. Im seventeen and i dont agree with the majority of the new mainstream bullshit. Its full of people who will do anything to make a buck. But there will always be some underlining genious, my generation doesnt discover or care to. If you looking for good music there is a endless list you just have to look. its honest people loving what they do and expressing them selve the masses just dont discover it because the mainstream doesnt feel it will sell
