I am going to get my first tattoo in a few months and for the past year or so, I have been searching for something meaningful.
If something is going to be imprinted on me forever it has to be worth it.
I am a HUGE fan of the beatles and John Lennon. I want to get a tattoo with Beatles lyrics and as of now I will use the lyrics "take these broken wings and learn to fly…" those lyrics alone pick me up everytime I am sad and I’m listening to them
ANYWAYS
I dont want a huge tattoo…probably not much bigger than the palm of me hand. Problem is, I dont know where to put it. I want to put it somewhere it will be covered so basically not like on my arms or foot or forehead…you get the idea.
I am not very creative and the internet isn’t helping…I want these lyrics but I dont know how I want the tattoo displayed. I was thinking small blackbirds flying around the lyrics…like 3 or 4.
OR I was thinking of getting the tattoo "Imagine" somewhere with a picture of something to do with john lennon.
So what do you think? Any layout tattoo ideas? Is this idea overdone? Where should I get it? ..I was thinking somewhere on my back? Without it looking trashy.
I want it slightly simple but original. AH help!

I dont really want the middle of my back..I’m sorry I’m just picky haha. I was thinking the shoulder idea…i feel that it can look trashy sometimes…it just depends…anyone for lover back? Maybe the hip-ish area?

Angel wings are pretty tight but I kind of wanted some type of blackbird in the tattoo..hence the name of the song…(favorite song everrr) …i like the banner idea..its in the middle of the back but hey if its done right..maybe,…
first off, let me be honest.. if i ever met a girl who loved The Beatles enough to get a tat with their lyrics, AND it’s from the song "Blackbird", i would marry that girl.. period..
anywho, maybe do two blackbirds carrying sort of a banner with the lyrics on it.. maybe between your shoulder blades.. if you want, i can draw something up and you can tell me what you think.. shoot me an email or something and i’ll hook it up..
Personally "let it be" is what helps me.
Words look best when they are small,classy, and simple. Maybe under your wrist or on your ankle.

I think it would look awesome across the clavicles or at the top of your back.
I think that ‘take these broken wings and learn to fly’ is a beautiful line in a beautiful song, and if it is meaningful, I would definitely get it.

How about right under your bra on your side..on your ribs. My friend got lyrics there and it looks awesome. Maybe get wings next to the lyrics. It would look cute in cursive handwriting. Good luck

the only thing i can see when i hear that idea is having like small angel wings (broken or not idk) on ur back ya no and then in some eligant cursive sort of above the wings "take these broken wings and" and then sort of below "learn to fly" or just learn to fly above or below the wings, dont know if that helps but hey i tried lol

Maybe on your back inbetween your shoulder blades? Or on your side, going up your ribs? And maybe you could get a pair of wings behind the lyrics. Like shadowed kind of and have the lyrics going over them? I don’t know hope this helped, that’s all i could come up with.

I’d get a small butterfly "flying" with the words take these broken wings on top sorta 1/2 circle..then under it 1/2 circle and learn to fly!
