I love dance remixes. I have about 65GB of them. I wager that I'm worse. But, I look back fondly on remixes, years down the line. I remember where 25 years ago Shep Pettibone did his first remix for Madonna. And, up to today, I love the Wideboys Club Mix of Cascada's "Evacuate the Dancefloor".

EDIT: I thought I typed this already. B is worse. But, I am reflective of B. Oh well.

EDIT: Well, in that case, A is worse. If Phil was represented by option B, it would should show that he had an open mind to what is actually out there, before sorting out his dislikes. Being the A personality would simply be foolish.
References :
To keep it short, B is probably much more annoying. And I already have a friend who matches the description of A, except that his library consists of about 20-30 songs.

Deep answer, no?
References :
either way...choosing the lesser of 2 evils is still opting for evil.
really, he wouldn't be a friend if he's a douche, especially about music. and that's what phil sounds like to me.

he's not a cool guy if you can't talk about music around him. there isn't a lesser. it's the same either way. i wouldn't be his friend because that's what will eventually happen anyway, so it's a waste of time to try.
however, if you wanted to be phil's friend scenario a would be the best of the 2.
References :
This question is awesome! So I went back and forth on the options, and I've come to the conclusion that the first option is preferable. Both would be frustrating, but at least he wouldn't be fake if he just had the small amount of music that he actually listened to.

So, yeah. Good question.
References :
I'd prefer A. A seemingly being the option where Phil doesn't run his yap constantly. I suppose that makes B worse. A is a situation that is easy to work around. I used to get sort of wrapped up in being like, "Dude you have to check this band out, they rule," and wanting everyone to like them but I don't really care about that stuff anymore. If Phil wants to listen to a few hundred songs for the rest of his life that's his affair. I like what I like, I'm not concerned in the slightest with spreading the word about bands.

See the B option sounds like I have to hear Phil jabber on about stuff. This I shall not do.

Also, Option B Phil with his computer in tow would lead to issues as I have a rep to maintain and foolios walking around with me toting computers would do damage to it. I'm so vain and yes that song IS about me.

-------------
In general, when choosing between the lesser of two evils, I choose the evil I haven't tried yet.
References :
id rather he be like option A than like option B because you make it sound like he doesn't care either way, so just don't talk about it and you could be really good friends, but with option B you make it sound like all he does is talk about how great his music library is and i would get pissed and puch him in the face more than likely.

trust me, i have friends in both of these catagories. Option A's are easier for me personally to deal with than Option B's.
References :
I've been in situations like this before. The one where he only likes a few and doesn't take advice is worse. It is just about the most annoying thing in the world.
References :
Metallica
