How do I remove the first few characters of many different file names?

Posted by admin on February 17th, 2010 and filed under beatles discography | 4 Comments »

I have the Beatles’s discography on my computer, but unfortunately each song name looks roughly like this:
"01_The Beatles – Come Together"
"09_The Beatles – You Never Give Me Your Money"
"17_The Beatles – Her Majesty"
Is there any way to remove the first 14 characters from all of the songs at once?
Going through all of them manually seems like kind of a pain…
Thank you for your answers.

No not that I know of, I don’t know why they name them like that, it’s a real pain having to rename them all.

The term "batch conversion" comes to mind, but I’m not sure which program would be the best to use.
