Coming from the Rap & Hip Hop Section, with a fairly easy (and I’m sure overasked) question for you…?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under beatles discography | 6 Comments »

I’ve been on a classic rock binge lately, and I realized that I don’t know much (nor own any music by) possibly the most popular group of all time

So, what would you say are The Beatles best albums? Normally what I do when I get into new artists is that I just start at the beginning of their discography and listen to their albums one-by-one, but I’m the doing all that for The Beatles and their like, 1,000 albums…so what are the best/most popular?

The Beatles best Albums are the 13 Studio Albums they released during their short, but illustrious career..

You say you like to start from the beginning, and work to the end, well I suggest doing that very thing.. Every Beatles Album is an amazing piece of work, Please Please Me,right to (Abbey Road).. Let It Be..

Let It Be wasn’t their best work in my opinion….

I wanted to list them for you as well…

I’m not a big fan, but my favorite albums by them are ‘Please Please Me’ and ‘Abbey Road’.

The Beatles don’t have a bad album, really.

I would suggest the White Album or Rubber Soul.
If you don’t like the sound of one of their albums, don’t knock them off completely. Almost all of their albums sound totally different.

Well, personally I think the earlier albums are booorrrinnggggg for the most part, or at least not terribly amazing compared to their later ones, the later ones are much better because they kept their pop edge but experimented. So I’d say Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, The White Album, and Abbey Road would be the best to listen to. I don’t think you can go wrong with starting off with Revolver or Sgt. Peppers..

White Album – & it’s true if you don’t like this album don’t knock them off completely.

If you’re into classical rock I would suggest you check out these 2 bands as well (probably the best EVER):

    1) Led Zeppelin – check out their album "Led Zeppelin IV"
    2) AC/DC – don’t even worry about listening to the album (I mean not that it isn’t awesome), I mean just listen to the song "Shook me all night long" and you’ll just fall in love with their music =)

Cool, I thought it was going to be "Why do you hate rap & hip-hop?" for the 1,000th time. Glad you didn’t ask that one.

Sgt. Peppers, Revolver, Rubber Soul, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, The White Album, Magical Mystery Tour, Let it Be, Number 1s, 1963-1966 Red cover, 1967-1970 Blue cover.
