I would have KILLED … I would have KILLED to be the guys who are standing behind them while they are listening tomorrow never knows……..i mean…….come on!!!!!!!…… Paul, George, Ringo and George Martin!!!!
Lucky son of a bitchessssssssssssssss
George announced in … George announced in early 2000 that Paul had agreed to work with him on some tracks for an album later that year (”I heard he’s had some hits”, George joked). But George later delayed that project in order to re-mix and re-release All Things Must Pass. By the time that was finished, George discovered his cancer had returned and never got the chance to finish the new album, which later was put together from George’s demos by his son Dhani and Jeff Lynne. It was called Brainwashed.
franzy1- I read the … franzy1- I read the same book by Geoff Emerick. Everything you say here is correct. And I believe him (since he was probably the only one in the studio that wasn’t stoned lol) But, You have to put remember that he freely admits his PERSONAL relationship with Paul was much much better than the others. He has continued working with Paul throughout his life. So his perspective might be a little skewed
The Abbey Road … The Abbey Road sessions book contradicts a lot of what you say. It lists track by track what was played by whom, and what each session accomplished, or didn’t. And Norman Smith was their engineer for their early albums, Geoff didn’t really come in until ‘65-’66. Plus if you listen to The Beatles live in Hamburg ‘62 Star Club, George plays some great lead stuff on songs they never recorded, so your assessment of George is opinion, not fact. Ringo was very consistent, rarely breaking down.
on the songs dear … on the songs dear prudence, back in the u.s.s.r .ballad of john and yoko this is just lennon and mccartney,on taxman paul does the solo he is a very good guitar player, lennon and harrison also both played 6 string baritone guitar ,they all had their little musical gifts that they gave to each other..i’ll tell you folks it is really great being a musician PEACE AND LOVE!!
I have seen a lot … I have seen a lot of songwriters telling the drummer how they want the beat to go. Bruce Springsteen does it, too. I did it too in my band. When you write a song you have to tell the others what to do. Paul played drums on a three or four songs on the White Album because Ringo quit, but was begged to return. Paul was limited in drumming, but knew what he wanted. He was an amazing bass player. Ringo is awesome and he didn’t have a huge ego. I love all the Beatles, they were all different.
Read Geoff … Read Geoff Emerick’s book: Here There and Everywhere. He contradicts almost everything you say. George was a clumsy guitarist when they started and only developed chops quite late. Paul often coached Ringo on drums or did it himself since he was a multifaceted musician. And Ringo was quiet and sullen much of the time, preferring to play chess with the roadies than participating in the creative discussions.
For me thats a … For me thats a freaky moment at 8:20 when they are playing Tomorrow Never Knows and the voice of John comes on singing lines out of the tibetan book of the dead. Scary!
XD Poor George … XD Poor George looks like he’d rather be gardening. XD
And Ringo’s dance skills are amazing x3 They bring so much happiness to so many, bless ‘em. x3
Paul is an awesome … Paul is an awesome bassist. One of my favorities.George and John were better at guitar.George was the best guitarist in the group and one of my all time favorites. Ringo is one of the best drummers in the world. Paul was very limited as drummer. I don’t care what John said about Ringo. As soloists, John, and George were better than Paul.Ringo did some great work too.I like Paul, but I wouldn’t call him the best of the Beatles. They were all great. Ringo seems to be the most easy going, IMO.
