Generally the remastered albums are better. I have Rubber Soul, and Revolver remastered, but older CDs of other albums. The worst mix I have is the Yellow Submarine Songtrack album, which sounds artificial.
However, I have the older mono Bealtes For Sale CD and it has a warmth to it. But vinyl is better.

My only criticism is that the mono box set can be hard to get.
References :
No no no no no no no no!

The Beatles are awesome the way they are on the originals. Remastering them is another word for destroying them, what are they playing at?

They are trying to con younger people into buying them because they are 'cool', and so the younger people will familiarize themselves with these remastered copies thinking they are how they are supposed to be and completely miss the point of who the Beatles were as artists. Most modern day music is rubbish - why inflict that on the Beatles?
References :
Don't buy the new remastered Beatles albums because they aren't in the highest quality they can be in. They were deliberately released in a lower quality so they can release them again next Christmas
References :
I guess Help will be my test case. My copy is scratched to hell and only about 1/3 of the record is currently playable so I'll grab the reissue and see. My instincts are that it sounds like a lot of records that I already have to buy for better compression and maybe a subtle EQ on the top, and I would lean no, but I haven't heard them yet and can't really give an educated opinion. I do know that a good mastering job can go a long way, but I guess it will be a good test of just how far.
