Which is better; The beatles or the monkees?

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Beatles suck! who can do better than stupid songs with singers that sounded like they were being choked to death and a cuple of crappy azz movies?????? THE MONKEES!!!
and for hotness….who can do better than 4 droopy eyed, hook nosed, crooked tooth Baztards?????(Ahem…anyone!) but THE MONKEES do it bestttt!!!

Maccaa sucks and his voice is totally etided……
JL was like crackly and shitz….
Riinggo or whatever? sounded like he was being strangled or something rofl
and whoever the other guy is could he even talk? let alone sing?

SHUTTUP DRAGED DOWN BY THE STONE!!!! PERVVVVV!!!

Honestly, The Monkees. Yes I know The Beatles had a ton of number ones and blah blah blah but I think they are also over rated. I mean there were a lot of British Invasion bands but most teens only know about The Beatles. I like The Monkees because they have some unique music, plus they had a TV show and number one hits. Yes, maybe at first The Monkees didn’t play their own instruments but from reading Micky’s book he says they learned in a matter of a few months while doing the TV show during the day. Plus all 4 of The Monkees were adorable =)

Jason in Tokyo (Saitama) – Vlog #13b – The John Lennon Museum

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

My final vlog from my trip to Tokyo in February of 2009.

And it was a fitting end – I really enjoyed the museum.

They don’t allow photography inside tho, so no pics or video from inside the museum.
Basically – they present John’s life thru a series of dioramas which feature tons of John and Beatles memorabilia. Lots of info is printed on the walls as you stroll thru, but not all of it is translated into English.

It’s a very tasteful and moving tribute to the man – the way they build up to and present John’s death was particularly well done and very emotional. There is also a small gift shop and a lounge.

Well worth the trip IMO. And I made a slight error when I read the admission price in this vlog – it’s actually 1500yen for adults. (1300yen is the group rate)

More info here:

After this, it was back to Tokyo to pick up my luggage, and then off to Haneda airport for the return trip to Izumo.
All in all I had a fantastic 4 days in Tokyo, and I hope I can go back soon.

Thanks for watching!

The Beatles – Hey Bulldog and Something covers

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

So, I like both of these songs a lot. I just acquired this Les Paul Studio and I wanted to mess around on it. I’m playing through a Marshall JCM 2000. As you can tell, all the recording is on cheap equipment. I tracked the piano, guitar, bass, and tambourine through Garage Band, which was recorded on my computer’s external mic. Then I played it as a whole track through somoe mediocre speakers that were next to my amp while I played the lead guitar part live.

I wish I could’ve sung but I live in an apartment complex and my neighbors aren’t very pleasant. Anyway, I realize I should take down all the dorky basketball posters in my room my brother hung up a long time ago. Still, it’s funny playing Beatles songs with Michael Jordan dunking behind you.

Oh, yeah. Sorry for cursing. Enjoy!

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

I’m just wondering because I want to do a beatles song that is good for my voice and I have a more rocky voice than a soothing voice, so I need some songs that have that toughness to it. Thanks :)
