did paul mccartney set up john lennon out of jelousy?
Nope, your daydreaming too hard. There was definitely tension in their relationship, but they didn’t hate each other, and Paul McCartney certainly didn’t set up John Lennon to be killed.
After The Beatles broke up, they were NOT best friends or brothers. Their feuding caused some serious damage to their relationship. Yet after things settled down a little, they started to at least be on friendly terms again; they did not hate each other. I think it was more that there had been some serious stuff between them, and they never really had the time (or took the opportunity) to sit down and work things out.
But no, Paul McCartney did not set up John Lennon. A few years later, he wrote a song for John, which made it very clear that he missed John.

Im currently thinking of buying the Anthology book but Im still in indecisive about which to get the hardcover or the paperback, I dont really know if theres a difference in the actual book itself other than the cover.. so i was wondering if anyone has an opinion about it, which do you think is a better deal
I got to be honest. I have the book, but I haven’t read it. I’ve seen all of the Anthologies on DVD, though. Anyway, when it comes to the Beatles, I prefer to buy the best most expensive versions of things. Partly because I want to maintain their great conditions, and partly as a sign of respect.
I know I do!! The best music ever!!
We all live in a yellow submarine ![]()
Who doesn’t? I love The Beatles!
I have 3 huge ones and one small one that came with The White Album.
I have a Lennon poster with the Imagine lyrics up, but no Beatles yet. I’m working on it!
A rare recording of Happy Birthday done by the Beatles.
The recording is from an appearance on the BBC’s ‘Saturday Club’…which is who/what they are singing Happy Birthday to.

Mac and Carson love The Beatles. Posters on the wall, lunch boxes, Yellow Submarine. The big controversy around our house revolves around the Walrus—who is he? Mac tries to play the kickdrum on the tom. It’s tough though; also a task to hear the music over the drums and follow along. Bigger stereo needed. Carson sings the words, but it’s tough to hear.
