What’s going to happen to the beatles songs?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Since Michael Jackson has died, which is very sad, what will happen to the Beatles songs that he owns(owned). Will they be back on the market? If so I think Paul McCartney or Yoko Ono will buy them.

heres the deal…

sony records owns 50% of the publishing in a deal he made to raise capitol..

the remaining 50% is in Michael Jackson’s will to return to Paul McCartney upon Michael Jackson’s passing..

Michael felt bad about the demise of their relationship and according to press reports last year " wanted to make things right"…

Did John Lennon suck after he left The Beatles?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Okay, my fiance’s brother keeps saying that John Lennon sucked after he left The Beatles. I’m trying to prove him wrong. I need to know people’s opinion’s on whether he sucks after he left The Beatles or not.

he came out with" imagine" after he Left the beatles.. one of the best songs of all times.. but that asian yoko could not sing her way out of a wet paper bag… some one should have steped on that mother before she started singing

Am I the only Beatles fan who absolutely hates the Anthology albums ?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

The unreleased stuff was good, OK, but… Glass Onion.
No. The version of Glass Onion on Anthology 3.

And Mean Mr. Mustard… I just hated that version.

Well the thing is that the Beatles music has been a global passion and phenomenon the world over for close to 50 years now. The Anthology Series was not meant to replace the classic studio tracks that have become the soundtrack to our lives, the series was designed to let us in the creative aspect of the Beatles musical process and evolution. The Anthology was as much to do with producer George Martin as is was John, George, Paul and Ringo.

The entire project allows you insight and a different vantage point to a band that is, short of Elvis Presley, probably the most important artistic and culturally significant band in the history or Rock N Roll… Sure "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love" were shameless… but the Anthology series stands as a valuable document of the Beatles legacy… the music takes a back seat to the documentaries.

If I buy a Beatles Poster where will the money go?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Well I wanna know where the money goes and how it’s shared and whatnot?

If it has been legally produced, the money will usually go to the distributer first (usually the retailer pays the distributer before you buy it). The distributer pays the manufacturer. The manufacturer pays the designer or photographer (either in one lump sum, or in royalties, although the latter is rare for posters unless the designer/photographer is well known). The manufacturer would also pay a licensing fee to Apple Records, which retains the right to use of the Beatles’ images.

Nothing would go to Michael Jackson’s estate, who own a portion of some of the Beatles *music*, not their photographic image.

I do wonder why people answer questions without having any idea…

Beatles Medley 2 by mjsokes & MartinStone21

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Okay everybody. I am now going to do my second Beatles medley but this time I am doing it with mjsokes instead of Krystof, and this medley has diferent Beatles songs (But this medley still has the same number of songs as in my first Beatles medley that I did back in April 2009). However, I know some of you will be familiar with two of the songs in this medley because I did covers of those songs (That being “Ticket To Ride” with BuddlyClontz back in March 2009 and “Drive My Car” with mjsokes back in October 2009). Anyways, here are the 6 Beatles songs that are in this medley:

“I Call Your Name” – (The Beatles Past Masters Volume 1)
“You Can’t Do That” – (A Hard Day’s Night) (Note: I am singing the backing vocals on this song.)
“Ticket To Ride” – (Help!)
“The Night Before” – (Help!) (Note: I do not sing on this one becasue mjsokes just plays the guitar solo to that song.)
“You’re Going To Lose That Girl” – (Help!) (Note: All three of these Help! albums songs were also in the Help! movie as well.)
“Drive My Car” – (Rubber Soul)

Of course, this medley also has three songs from one single Beatles album as in the first medley, except that these three songs are from the Help! instead of Rubber Soul (But they are still songs from 1965). But apart from all that, enjoy this medley and I will see you all again in my next video.

mjsokes – Epiphone Casino Guitar

The Beatles “Revolution No. 9.1″

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

The Beatles “Revolution No. 9.1″
9minutes and 20 seconds of being inside-out the box. All this is really, is a photo tour of my “The Beatles” memorabilia collection, with a heavy dose of audio out-takes from the movie “Let it Be”. Or as John sang, “Let it A, Let it B. Let it C, Let it D, E, F, Double wouble wouble U, G.” I took bits of about 45 minutes of out-takes from a really poor quality, but still fun to watch movie, and added echo, reversed some of it, spliced and edited it down to this. John, Paul, George, and Ringo are joined by 5thBeatleBilly on the keyboard. If your not a hard core Beatles freak, you may want to spend your time doing something more useful like underwater basket weaving. However, if you like me like all, or mostly all-things Beatles, sit back, light some incense, turn down the lights, turn up the volume, enlarge the viewing screen, and take a little trip back to 1969.
