Band tees?

What is your opinion of people who wear/purchase band merchandise of bands that they don’t listen to? This especially applies to people who purchase "vintage band tees" of bands such as the Ramones, Beatles, Doors, AC/DC, etc. Does is bother you, as a fan, that they are soiling the band’s name for the sake of looking retro and cool or do you simply not care?

Ugh, yes it REALLY bothers me.
Ok, I’ve been a fan of like The Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin..ALL of them since I was like 4, I’m now 15. And lately everybody is pretending to like them all wearing their shirts and everything.

Actually today I had like a break down about this. I went into hot topic to buy a rock tee, and it reminded me well this boy had a Led Zeppelin at my school and he was like ‘Yeah, my favorite member is John Lennon.’
and I was like ‘what the heck-’
And also this girl was talking about Nirvana and shes like ‘Yeah I like them.’ and then some kid had a shirt with a picture of Kurt Kobain and she pointed at it and asked me if the guy was Jimi Hendrix.

ugh, its annoying. =/

Legendary, not so mentioned like the beatles or stones, but the Kinks are on top in the rock history …. several great songs in their discography … Ray Davies is a prodigious songwriter!..

Where can I buy those remastered Beatles albums and how much should I expect to pay?

I know they sell them at Starbuck, but where else…and how much should i be paying. I believe sbux sold them for like 15 dollas.

How many of the songs in Across the Universe are Beatles songs?

I just watched it today, and although I love the Beatles, I’m not familiar with all of their songs…..I was wondering if all of the songs in Across the Universe were originally Beatles songs…..thanks.

All of them…..
All the characters (Jude, Lucy, Prudence, Jo-Jo, Max, etc) were named after people in the lyrics too.

Great movie.

*URGENT* need help with homework on the beatles???john lennon????

right, i need to write a report on what jonh lennon done and what his contribution was to music after the beatles broke up. So please can you write the report for me, or give me some tips, or just help in any way that you can, the more you can do, the better, just please help me, thanks in advance!!! :)

No one is going to write a report "for" you, thats cheating. If someone was going to be nasty, they would write a report for you with false information if they could..and then you’d get a big fat F.

Beatles: "Anthology", "Magical Mystery Tour", "Help!" and "Let It Be" DVD

OK, I know Let It Be isn’t out on DVD yet but… where can I find a good quality version of it on DVD, transfered from the LaserDisc?

Help! – is it on DVD yet, and if so, where can I find it?

I’ve seen Magical Mystery Tour at the stores on DVD but have seen at least 3 different versions – which one is the offical release and which is the best in terms of picture and audio quality?

I’ve recently rented the Anthology box set from my local library – I own the CD’s – is there anything else that is related to the Anthology series – I’ve heard rumors about a book but haven’t heard anything else – where would be the best place to get the book (if it exists) and the DVD set for the cheapest price?

I don’t know if you’re talking about the Anthology book that came out in 2000, it’s a great book that the remaining Beatles worked on and incorporated numerous interviews that John Lennon gave over the years; you can buy it new/used on Ebay (I personally bought mine used on Ebay for $5.00 plus shipping); you can also find unofficial dvds of the movies on there. Be careful though to check if the dvds will play on North American dvd players or not.

Is it legal to host my own un-official convention?

Myself and a few others are interested in holding our own Beatles convention. It would include a gathering of fans from all ages, trading/buying/selling collections of memorabilia and maybe an album/dvd stall. Also hiring out a Beatles tribute band would be an option. I was just wondering if I would have to undergo any legal worries, if so, how do I get passed them? It would be an amazing thing for my town and I would love to do it. Thanks for your time!

Yes, because Mother Mary is *not* Mary of Nazareth, the mother of Jesus Christ, commonly referred to as "Mother Mary." The Mary in the song is actually Paul’s own mother, and its a symbolic reference – its not a factual accounting of a ghostly apparition.

Do you now (or did you ever have) posters on your walls?

What are (were) they? I still have a Beatles poster that I got in 1965. It’s not on the wall but I still have it.

Yes. I have a Beatles one, a one of The Who, a one of Pink Floyd, a one of River Phoenix, a small one of ABBA, and one of Paul McCartney.

And also a ton of paintings and drawings and such I did.

And I have a huge Australian flag and a ‘peace’ flag, too.
